“Tonight was our first time to dine at Yen Ching (East Washington Street). I especially loved the spinach bean curd soup, veggie egg rolls and crabmeat rangoon. My son-in-law, who lived in Mongolia for a year, loved the pork dish he ordered. My grandson loved it all; especially the shrimp in lobster sauce, as did I. From some of the reviews, I was expecting good food in a not-so-good place. The food was good, and the whole experience was a very pleasant one. Read more

“I first discovered Yen Ching when I moved to Indy in 2006. The inside looks like it could use a remodel, but it doesn’t affect the quality of the food. There are some traditional Chinese decorations and music of course to set the mood. Read more.

Great, Authentic Chinese Food at Yen Ching

First, I will admit that I am partial to the East Side of Indianapolis. I currently live in Irvington, a historic neighborhood just 5 miles east of Downtown Indy, which boasts great spots like Black Acre Brewery, Jockamo Upper Crust Pizza and the Historic Steer-In Diner.
